One recent and notable development is the Panasonic EV Battery Plant, a $4 billion project located in De Soto, Kansas, just southwest of Kansas City. This project is expected to be completed in 2025, and the plant is expected to create up to 4,000 jobs. This project, among others, signals the increasing demand for large-scale industrial facilities in the area. 

Urban Redevelopment and Community-Centric Projects

This milti-use is very common in big cities, and we’re excited to see KC start to adopt it downtown. One notable community-centric project is the South Loop proposed for Downtown. This large project would create a new public space connecting crossroads to downtown and convert an open space into a vibrant green space for downtown residents to enjoy. Such developments are transforming Kansas City into a more livable, walkable, and interconnected city.
