Lawrence, KS Metal Building Contractor

MAR Building Solutions is a metal building contractor in Lawrence, KS. We build, roof, and repair commercial steel buildings across the area. As a certified Butler Builder®, we build on Butler systems and back the work with a factory warranty.

Why Metal Buildings Hold Up in Northeast Kansas

Lawrence weather is hard on buildings. Hail, straight-line wind, and swings of more than 100 degrees a year all pull at seams and fasteners. An engineered Butler frame and a standing seam roof flex with that stress instead of cracking under it. That is the difference between a roof you patch every spring and one you can forget about for decades. Butler backs that roof with a weathertight warranty.

Lawrence is also busy. New plants are going up at Lawrence VenturePark and along the K-10 corridor. Older warehouses near the river and in East Hills are due for new roofs and panels. Owners here need the same two things: a building that goes up fast and holds up long. We do plenty of both, on new pads and tired roofs alike.

Lawrence Commercial Metal Building Services

One contract covers design, permitting, and construction. You work with one team, not a designer and a builder who trade blame when a date slips.
Butler steel buildings sized for warehouses, plants, and large commercial floors. The engineered design fits the distribution growth on Lawrence’s east side.
Frame and structural steel put up by AWS-certified welders and OSHA-trained crews. We also work as a subcontractor for general contractors in Douglas County.
New standing seam roofs, re-roofs, and retrofits built to shed hail and take big temperature swings. Roofing is where most aging Lawrence buildings need help first.
We fix leaks, loose fasteners, panel damage, and storm damage on metal buildings. Many older plants need this long before they need a rebuild.
New wall and roof panels go over a sound frame, with no full teardown. It is a low-cost way to give a dated warehouse another few decades.

Certified Butler Builder® Serving Lawrence and Douglas County

MAR is the only certified Butler Builder® in the Kansas City metro. So Lawrence owners get Butler Manufacturing building systems without hiring a contractor from out of town. Butler makes the frame, walls, and roof as one system, and we put it up as one tight shell. One system means one warranty, and one company standing behind it.

  • Framing that arrives factory-punched, so it goes up faster and lines up right in the field
  • A frame, walls, and roof engineered to work as one sealed system
  • MR-24® standing seam roof system built to move with Midwest temperature swings instead of leaking
  • Framing sized to meet local wind and snow loads
  • One matched system, which cuts the coordination problems you get from mixed parts

How We Build in Lawrence, KS

Here is how a job moves from first idea to finished building, with one project manager on it the whole way.

h

1. Consultation

We walk the site with you. Then we talk through how the building gets used and what it should cost, and flag anything that shapes the design early.

2. Design

Our in-house PE, Kurt Krasick, turns that into Butler-engineered plans. They are sized for your site, your loads, and room to grow.

3. Permitting

We file the drawings and handle the review with the City of Lawrence and Douglas County. We stay on it until the permit clears.

4. Construction

Our own AWS-certified welders and OSHA-trained crews set the foundation and raise the steel. Then we close in the walls and roof.

5. Closeout

We finish inspections and walk the building with you. Then we hand over the documents and register the Butler warranty.
